Beginning Restorative Practices: Talking Circles and Collaborative Decision-Making

Join us for a two-day training that begins with a day of Collaborative Decision Making.  We use the Friendly Communication Profile to assess our typical patterns of reacting in calm and storm conditions.  Then we build on that information with skill practice in using observing language, paraphrasing, identifying interests vs. positions in times of conflict, and moving into a collaborative decision-making conversation.  We end the day with a talking circle. On day two, we enter the talking circle again for a day of experiential learning on the various aspects of working with talking circles.
